Yes. Unlike a traditional paper poster, an Eslaby metal plate is resistant to everyday moisture, accidental splashes and brief contact with water.

This makes the aluminium surface easier to care for and less vulnerable to accidental moisture than paper-based artwork.

Water resistant does not mean that the product is designed for immersion or prolonged exposure to water.

Some Eslaby promotional mockups use the term “waterproof surface” to visually describe the moisture-resistant properties of the coated aluminium surface.

In practical terms, this should be understood as water resistant during normal household use: the surface can handle splashes, moisture and accidental brief contact with water.

Eslaby plates are not intended to be submerged in water or exposed continuously to wet conditions.

For normal cleaning, simply use a soft, clean microfibre cloth to remove dust or fingerprints.

If necessary, the cloth can be slightly dampened with water. Dry the surface afterwards with a clean soft cloth.

Avoid abrasive sponges, harsh chemicals and aggressive cleaning products, as these may damage or scratch the coated surface.

Normal daylight is not a problem, and the sublimated surface is designed to provide good colour durability for indoor display.

However, continuous exposure to strong direct sunlight for long periods can gradually affect virtually any printed artwork.

For maximum colour longevity, we recommend displaying the plate away from intense, continuous direct sunlight.

Although the aluminium surface offers resistance to moisture and everyday environmental contact, the plates are not sold as permanent outdoor signs.

Long-term exposure to rain, strong sunlight, extreme temperatures or changing weather conditions may affect the finish over time.
