Cities Are More Than Landmarks
Eslaby started with a fascination for the visual character of cities — not only the famous places everyone recognizes, but also the buildings, streets and details that often go unnoticed.
Brutalist architecture, socialist-era structures, historic squares, strange urban geometry and ordinary places with extraordinary character all became part of the same idea: turning the atmosphere of a city into something you can keep.
From Observation to Creation
It Starts With a Place
Every design begins with a location that catches our attention. Sometimes it is an iconic building. Sometimes it is a forgotten corner, a housing block, a street or simply a perspective that feels cinematic.
Human Direction, Assisted by Technology
The creative direction comes first: choosing the place, composition, atmosphere and visual style. AI-assisted tools are then used as part of the process to reinterpret and enhance the original idea.
The goal is not to create a perfect copy of reality. It is to capture the character of the place and push it toward something more expressive, whether that means natural color, monochrome simplicity or a futuristic cyberpunk atmosphere.
Made Physical on Metal
A digital image is only the beginning. Each finished design is transferred onto aluminum using sublimation, creating a lightweight physical piece with sharp detail, rich contrast and a distinctive metallic presence.
Made in Slovakia, Inspired by Europe
Eslaby is produced in Slovakia and heavily inspired by the architecture and visual culture of Central Europe. Bratislava, Krakow, Prague, Budapest and smaller cities across the region all offer their own stories, textures and identities.
The collection continues to grow as new places are discovered and reimagined. Some are famous. Others may only mean something to the people who have lived there, walked past them every day or remember them from another time.
Numbered Editions
Each Eslaby design is produced in individually numbered editions of 50 pieces. When an edition is completed, another numbered edition may follow, giving every plaque its own place within the history of the design.
Eslaby is about finding character in places, turning that character into art, and giving urban memories a physical form.
